The Southwest Virginia region is known for its people and communities, and for its resiliency and toughness. Overnight flooding on the night of July 12th in Buchanan County destroyed at least 22 homes and three businesses, with many more sustaining significant damage. The SWVA Shop, Coach Ben Thompson and the Emory & Henry College Basketball program, and Coach Tigh Compton and the University of Pikeville Basketball program have teamed up to create a Buchanan County - SWVA Strong T-Shirt. 75% of the proceeds will be donated to the United Way of Southwest Virginia to lend a helping hand to those in need during this difficult time.
